Language and Trauma as an emerging field
Some remarks from participants: "It was good overall to gather with others who are interested in the intersection of language and trauma. The value for me in attending is to meet and converse with others--mostly in the in-between spaces--over meals or in taxis about language, trauma, and all the rest."
"It was ok. However, it would be good to have more general discussions after the sessions."
"Best part has been the scale of the workshop and the collegiate experience which supported many deep conversations between the talks." |
"First of all, thank you so much for organising this event again. It was like a breath of fresh air for me - breathing in new knowledge and also breathing out yours. Seeing trauma from different perspectives helps understanding it more and more. What I liked the best is a hard question. It was heart-warming to reconnect with people who attended previous conferences and see their passion and dedication and also see connections being made."
"In many cases, I wished the speakers could go on answering questions. Perhaps it could also be useful to have a round table on a broad theme, where everyone can contribute — without requiring narrow expert preparation. " |
After three successful editions of the Interdisciplinary Language & Trauma Workshop, we will be back in March 2027 - Call will follow.
